This MAb reacts with a wide variety of simple epithelia. It does not react with stratified squamous epithelia. It reacts with epithelial tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, lung, breast, pancreas, ovary, and thyroid. Cytokeratin 18, which belongs to the type A (acidic) subfamily of low molecular weight keratins, exists in combination with cytokeratin 8. It was reported that tissues from gastrointestinal tract are positive for both cytokeratin 8 and 18 but do not contain cytokeratin 14. Tissues from gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract and urogenital tract, as well as endocrine and exocrine tissues and mesothelial cells are positive for cytokeratin 18.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF Dyes and other labels. Recombinant SUMOstar Protease 1 specifically recognizes and cleaves the SUMOstar tag from recombinant fusion proteins made with SUMOstar expression systems (Cat.#s: 1100A, 1106, 1100K, 1101, 2100, 2101, 2160, 2161, 3100, 3101, 7110, 7111, 7120, 7121). Unlike thrombin, EK, or TEV proteases, which recognize short, linear sequences, SUMOstar Protease 1 recognizes the tertiary structure of SUMOstar. As a result, SUMOstar Protease 1 will not cleave within the protein of interest. SUMOstar Protease 1 will not cleave SUMO-tags from proteins expressed with the SUMOpro or SUMOpro3 systems. To cleave the SUMOpro tag (orginial yeast SUMO tag), please use SUMO Protease 1 and to cleave SUMOpro3 tag please use SUMO Protease 2.
